Merry Christmas & Happy New Year!

Welcome 2020

2019 was the fastest year on record in my mind! I still can’t believe it’s the beginning of 2020 already. With all that has gone on this year I have decided I don’t really have the energy to send Christmas cards this year. I just can’t seem to get them ordered or even think about getting them prepared to mail. I hope to do it next year but it will have to be digital this year. So here is our digital Christmas letter.

Spring found us watching Gavin play baseball. His team improved greatly since the previous year and we all enjoyed seeing more wins that losses.

Kamea continues to participate in dance and trying different classes. This past year she took Modern (Jazz & Tap) and this year she is taking Acro (Gymnastics & Jazz). She is loving learning all sorts of gymnastics cartwheels, headstands, and incorporating that with dance moves.

Gavin was able to participate in the city wide 4th grade track meet. He did great in all the competitions.

The kids from our church who attended Rainbow Bible Ranch for the week.

This was Gavin’s group at camp! They had fun riding horses, helping on the working farm, and most of all learning about God.

Kamea attended Rainbow Bible Ranch for two days with a friend. She was so excited to get to ride horses and learn about God.

This summer Shiloh Church put on a Summer Kids Club which was a fun week of VBS activities.

Many activities at Summer Kids Club kept all the kids very busy burning off energy, lots of singing, and learning amazing stories from the Bible.

Teaching our church about what they learned at Kids Club.
Hiking Sylvan Lake
1880 Train
Picnic while camping.
For the past few years I get to watch these two boys almost daily. Kyle and Evan bring so much fun and excitement each day. This day I cringed in fear of broken bones but thankfully we didn’t have any this summer.
Amanda’s Uncle Vern and Aunt Linda ventured with their Model A club to the Black Hills, we had a great evening with them in Deadwood. It was fun to look at all the different types of cars and catch up.

Gavin’s Goal after 1.5 years of piano.

Kamea finally was tall enough to go down the slides at the local pool. I no longer set up the pool in the backyard so we attend swimming lessons and venture to town to play at the city pools.
Gavin’s turn!
We made it to see our nieces and get to play with them at the park. They love their Uncle Keith so much!
Getting to snuggle Uncle Troy’s pigs back home.
The highlight of my summer was getting to watch these two chase after the bunny! That poor bunny was so friendly and didn’t know what to think but didn’t ever run very far away.
The 2019 garden. With back issues, weather, and time causing issues we still had a very prolific garden. I look forward to a better success this next year with hopefully less back issues. I was so grateful for the kids, Keith, and friend Katie for their help.
Keith built me a garden sink. I bit overkill but so helpful! He is so talented!
We did several camping trips with lots of fishing. This was near Custer State Park.
The family got to experience horseback riding in the hills. It was a beautiful experience!
Morning at the campsite, this particular morning we woke up to hot air balloons taking off 1/4 mile from us. It was so neat to see them up close.
Fishing at the park.
Gavin’s catch
Kamea’s turn.
Dad finally caught one. Mom caught a few as well.
Keith took our broken table and made a new table top. We are glad to have it back to its glory for game nights in the summer.
Cousins playing at Storybook Island. We met Josh and Lin and kids and had a blast playing together.
For the last 5 years or so, Amanda has participated in weekly Zumba classes. Sadly this fall the classes have ended and Amanda misses it so very much. Many classes have been hard, emotional, painful, refreshing, filled with giggles, but always send me home refreshed and less stressed. I have looked forward to these classes even on the days I could barely move.
Valerie treating the kids and letting them ride the horse.
Grandma Barb and Lambert the house sheep.
Cousins catching frogs.
Corbett and Gavin.
4 Generations on the 4th of July. We had a blast lighting off fireworks at Grandma’s nursing home and helping the residents with the fun.
Fishing with Grandpa Randy!
Gavin did a great job learning to mow this summer and pretty much kept our lawn looking amazing even with all the rain.
Rodeo time!
First Day of School 5th and 2nd. No teeth for Kamea!

Gavin and his best buddy at a field trip this fall. We enjoyed a fun day at Mt Rushmore.

These were just a few of the things we did this year so if I get time I’ll post those.
